I was out on Lake Nipissing with Ontariohunter and his "Geo Quad" on our way to two caches; Sailor's Squadron, and Kerry's Cache when we were brought to a dead stop by the wall of ice. There was no way that we were going to go over that pressure crack with the bike.Geocaching on Lake Nipissing Manito11

I take it the picture depicts your journey to the Power Sail Squadron's cache on Lake Nippissing.

I visited Kerry's Cache 2 on 14 Feb and didn't encounter any ice conditions like this (good thing too!). As a matter of fact, it was a blustery day out on the lake with freshly fallen snow. Had a tough time keeping my balance on slippery ice (nothing like my native swamps)

There are places where Gators shouldn't be going. Frozen swamps are some of them

There are caches that aren't worth the trouble of getting to. This one sure looked like it! Good call on not going

    Happy caching

I always have fun when I cache. My class and I are going to do some caching because the teacher is a cacher too! He has received some GPS units from the board and we are heading out as a field trip. I plugged our site to the teachers as well. Let's keep the Geocache sport growing fellow cachers, get the word out there people! bounce Smile
